The permissions you need — and those you don't

Paper needs no API key. If you save an exchange connection, use restricted permissions and check the exchange's own naming and requirements.

  • Read and Spot trading permissions are the typical requirements.
  • Withdrawal permission must remain disabled. Transfer permission should remain disabled.
  • Permission names vary by exchange; not every permission is reported reliably.
  • Some exchanges use a passphrase. Coinbase uses its own credential format.

AiNiBoTS does not accept deposits or process withdrawals. Saving a connection does not make live Real Spot order execution available.
